GKingdom’s Minor Intellectual Property Protection Program(MI3P) involves parents, teachers and guardians in ways to nurture and protect minor intellectual property, legal disability to contract and contractual capacity of minor, the contractual incapacity attached to minors is detrimental to them as far as the exploitation and enforcement of their innovation, creative and intellectual talents are concerned. The contractual incapacity averts them from commercially exploiting the fruits of their intellectual natural gifts and labour. The contractual incapacity creates impediments on minors in exploiting the IPR by entering into licenses or assignments.
Our advocacy is to legally secure the creativity and innovativeness of brilliant kids, young people from imminent theft. Intellectual property right protection is an important policy tool of reducing unemployment nationally and internationally. The current local systems in place to register IP are inaccessible, time consuming and difficult to use. This results in high online piracy rates and large amounts of counterfeit goods. Without this enforcement, entrepreneurs and developers may be unmotivated to innovate, lacking incentive to pursue creative activities that change lives and create jobs.
